What's it like working with a Dental Support Organization (DS0)? +
“I don't feel like it's all that much different than a traditional practice, because it's not like people are looking over my shoulder. I don't have a boss telling me I didn't do something fast enough. And the business management side of being an affiliate with Affordable Dentures & Implants is awesome. People hear "DSO" and a lot of times think it's going to be an awful environment. I don't feel that at all with this business model. I don't feel pressure from them. I feel like they want to help me grow my practice. I feel like I have control and autonomy — about as much as I had in private practice.”

Won’t I be doing the same thing every day? +
“It depends on how you look at it. In general dentistry, you’re pretty much doing the same thing every day, but with surgery, you’re changing someone’s smile from top to bottom. You’re changing that personality.
When you do cleanings or fillings every day, yea, it’s the same thing over and over, and no one cares. But when you’re doing prosthetics or implants, you’re changing someone’s life. I’d say that almost on a weekly basis, we have people at the end of a procedure who are jumping for joy. They’re hugging me. They’re crying. These people are so thankful, and I never had that in general dentistry."
